Born in 1989 in Portland, Maine, Zach attended Swarthmore College where he earned a BA in philosophy and his MD degree from Case Western Reserve University. He now lives and works in New York City as a pathology resident.

 

Along this path Zach picked up various techniques that contribute to his current method and direction.

Starting out with metal smithing and clay and later welding, metallurgy, stone and plaster. His work represents dynamic gestures of life, and the perpetual interplay between permanence and transformation.
